Monster Mash 5k and Kid's Free Monster Dash

Welcome to the Fifth Annual Monster Mash 5k and Kid's Free Monster Dash. We are back partnering with Oro Valley Parks and Recreation and its Monster Mash Party. The run will be a Halloween-themed event for the entire family, and we encourage everyone to dress up. 

Each Monster Mash Fun Run participant will receive a GLOW in the DARK finisher's medal and adults can purchase a discount entry into the Oro Valley Parks and Recreation Monster Mash festival. 

Each Free Kids' Monster Mash participant will enjoy:
~A halloween finisher's medal
~A halloween themed bib

Oro Valley Parks and Recreation will manage a halloween festival with games, face painting and pumpkin painting. 

The Monster Mash Fun Run is 3.1 Miles. See details below...

The Kids' FREE Run is 1 Mile

Please read the following so you understand how the race will unfold:

The Course*

The race starts in waves of one runner every 5 seconds. This is so the food stations are not inundated all at once with a mass start.

You will start on the riverpath from Steam Pump Ranch and run southeast to the LIMBO turnaround (out and back).

THERE WILL BE 2 FOOD STATIONS on the course - witches brew (root beer) and pumpkin pie muffin (gluten-free), as well as the LIMBO turnaround.

Once you cross the start line, and just before you cross the bridge, you will drink a shot of witch's brew and then run to the LIMBO turnaround. After the turnaround, you'll run to mile 2.1 where you'll eat a pumpkin pie muffin before running the last mile to the finish line. Volunteers will be on the course directing runner traffic ~ where to turn around and where to eat/drink..

No one will be allowed to start after 6:35 p.m.

*WARNING ~ THERE MAY BE STROBE LIGHTS.

First 200 paid-participants will receive a glow in the dark finisher's medal. 

The kids will enjoy a free fun run over the bridge and then back to the finish line. Each child will receive a bib number and finisher's medal. 

Awards

1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Overall Male and Female Awards. The awards ceremony will be at 7pm in the park. (If you anticipate winning an award, please start before 6:30 p.m.)
