2022 Let Freedom Run 5K Cancellation
Good Morning,
It is with sincere apologies that we reach out today to advise that the Let Freedom Run 5K is being cancelled for 2022. We feel with this being a new race in the area that the recognition and interest is not yet there due to a short window for promotion and there is not enough time to increase the number of participants to cover the expense of the event between now and race day.
Our committee has discussed kicking off 2023 with a portfolio of races to showcase our beautiful Downtown West Monroe area and help us raise funds to continue to support improvements of this gem in our area and will include this race with that roll out.
We will have information on a fun family run for October and a kickoff race for the Christmas season so please be on the lookout for these.
We will be issuing full refunds over the next 2 to 3 business days - please reach out if there are any issues.

Description
Come run along the banks of the Ouachita River in West Monroe to kick start your wonderful 4th of July holiday day! We will start and finish in the beautiful downtown West Monroe and push our pace along the S. Riverside Dr on the banks of the Ouachita River to Lazarre Park. The route will be an out and back and all runners will be digitally timed.
All proceeds benefit the many projects in Downtown West Monroe through the Downtown West Monroe Revitalization Group.
