The Fast and Furriest 5K is an annual race to help fundraise for the Critical Care Companion Animal Fund. The Critical Care Companion Animal Fund was created to help pets who are in desperate need of critical veterinary care, however the family of that pet is unable to provide the finances needed to cover the veterinary costs for medical treatment. This fund is for small, large, and exotic animals and is available for residents who demonstrate need. The Fast and Furriest 5K also raises awareness about preventative care of our pets and provides a funfilled day of exercise, education, and food!
Event details and schedule
Date: June 1, 2024
Race Day Schedule:
7:30-9am: Check in and Bib Assignment, pre-race snacks, and same day race registration
8am-1pm: Mini Expo Activities, Yoga with Puppies, Bouncy House Fun, Doggy Weiner Dive, Costume Contest, Animal Talent Show, Face Painting, Music
8:30am: Yoga with Doggies
9:15am: 5k
10:15 am: 1k kiddo Race
11am: BBQ
11:30am: Awards/Silent Auction
Where: Central Wyoming College 2660 Peck Ave, Riverton, WY (Circle Drive Location)
Virtual 5K Option: Anywhere! 5K=3.1miles. Map your run in an app (i.e Map My Run) to submit times!! Perform anytime! Before 5/31/24 if you would like to compete for prizes!! (Must pick up prizes in person, will not be mailed.)
Awards: Top Male, Top Female, Top Pet, Most furry, Most athletic, Best Costume, Top Weiner Diver, Top Tricks and more...
